Glucosamine Supplements?

Alrighty, Lady's 6 now, and starting to get that touch of arthritis to her joints. So, the vet gave me a Sample of Synovi G3 chews. These are fairly expensive supplements, so I was wondering if anybody had any other alternatives of things I can use or something I can sprinkle over her food? I guess it's time to start looking into senior foods for her, too.

ive used consequen for the horses for years... they also make it for dogs and cats , there is also a shot ..givin in the musscle called leagen ($$) or adequen is the cheaper version... now those are pricey but, i was told that with a dog, u give one shot a week for the first month and then once every 6 months after the first month..with horses its once a month.. so maybe the consequen would be the better choice, it comes in a powder form.

This is what we use per our vets recommnendation for our lab who has mild hip dysplasia/arthritis. It works very well you can just use it as a powder or make it into a gravy.
