so when i went in to clean zookys cage i found some droplets of blood in a few areas. i know at night i hear noise and hear zooky cry but everytime i check on him he seems fine. so when i found the blood i checked his paws and body but found no damage what so ever. and he was as playful as usual. how do i find the source of this problem and make sure it doesnt happen again. (he lives in a FN if that helps anything) please help!! thank you!!

I would double check the paws - they get dry and cracked this time of the year. Just a little crack or scratch is all it takes for the blood spots. As for how to prevent this (if it is a paw dryness issue), bag balm is a popular remedy.

I know this seems silly but, are you sure it isnt urine? Sometimes the urine can be very dark and look kinda like blood.
