Eye Ointment

I took B-Rex to the vet tonight because of his watery eyes and they gave me and ointment to use twice a day. How exactly to I apply it? Directly on his eye with my finger? What's best?

Does the tube have an applicator tip? Apply either straight from the ointment tube or an a quality q-tip. You may need to grab the chins ears to hold the head still. Just put a dab right on the eye and let the chin blink to spread it around.

Don't use your finger...you'll probably just get ointment all over and if your hands aren't clean you could be adding foreign materials or germs to the ointment/eye. (Wash your hands before and after anyhow.)
