Dry Hedgie Feet

My hedgie's feet are getting really dry. Is there anything to do about that? I know the breeder told me to use baby lotion on his ears for dry ears, but what about feet? Thanks!

You can use vasaline, Vit E oil, Flax seed oil, or any non toxic moisturizer.

Are you using a substrate type bedding? If so, be careful using anything on him, ensure that it is thoroughly soaked in before putting him back on the bedding. If there is any stickiness left over from the moisturizer it will cause dust and small particles from the bedding to stick to his skin. It can make the problems you are experiencing worse.

Thanks so much! Kalandra, no I'm using a fabric bedding. I tried the shavings for small animals, but Ares sneezed too much.
