Poor thing! Could she have gotten into something toxic in someone's garbage etc.? I'm trying to imagine the volume of spoiled apples it would take to intoxicate a moose and that seems like it would take a LOT!

Wow! Poor moose! The article really didn't indicate whether she fully recovered or not...at least I didn't see that it did. I'm just glad she was freed from the tree and allowed to recover.

It is pretty common in certain areas to have drunk wildlife off of berries or apples. We get drunk deer every year.

We used to get our cows drunk by feeding them loaves of bread.

I'm sure the vacationing owner of that apple tree is in for a shock when they get back.
