Drinking habits

While my chin is drinking she "shakes" her bottle. She will take a few sips, put her bottom teeth in the hole and SHAKES it. I can't give a better explination then that. I have a video but don't quite know how to go about posting it. If your an expierenced chin owner, I would LOVE to email you the video for your opinion. PM me

Mine rattles the bottle as well. Is it a bottle with a ball in the end?
If so, it does take a small amount of pressure against the ball to release the water, so maybe that's why it appears he/she is shaking the bottle.

Chinchillas are silly little critters and do silly things like that. I think they love to get people to shake their heads over their antics

Sometimes they just like to make as much noise as possible. As long as your are certain water is, in fact, coming out of the bottle and it's not clogged, I wouldn't worry about it.
