Different types of bonds between chins

My girls Mira, and her daughter, Marika, often seem to be attached at the hip. They do everything to together. They sleep together, eat together, and beg together:

It seems as though Marika copies her mother. She used to imitate her brother's when she was younger. Marika has never known another chin but her mother.

My boys on the other hand are much more independent of each other. They do sleep together occasionally, but mostly do their own thing.

Terrance was seems as though he was closer with his first cage mate who passed away. They slept together all the time.

My two boys that are in the same cage are father and son, sometimes they seem to be attached at the hip and other times they will keep to opposite sides of the cage. Sometimes they sleep together, sometimes they don't. They always seem to beg together though, I think they know it's cuter when they team up.
