My dehumidifier crapped out on me a couple weeks ago and I got lucky and found one at a thrift store about a week ago. It's a whirlpool 50 pint/24hr unit and seems to be working well, but it isn't removing very much water. Maybe 2 pints all week? Problem is the humidity is at 59% right now, so I may have to go out and get another one 
Question is this though, I am considering getting a portable 12,000 BTU A/C. Would that help the humidity enough or not?
