I wanted to see what some ppl thought of dandys xrays here. I took him in three months ago. I was told he had a previous leg injury and the vet gave him low chance of survival (made no sense to me). But his last owner kept him anyway. She said she did little range of motion with his leg.

When i took him in, i took him to the vet to see what was going on. I had a set of x-rays taken. Then they redid them with him sedated. These were the x-rays while sedated.

I don't read many skeletal x-rays but it looks like something is going on in the hip-like the ball is fused in the socket or arthritis? I had a tripod who had his hip bone dislocated a few times and he got arthritis in the hip socket. Any idea how old the chin is?

I hope Stackie sees this thread, she is a vet tech and has more than likely looked at a ton of skeletal x-rays, see what she thinks.

At 9 it could be arthritis caused from a previous injury, IMO, like my boy.

This looks a bit like what I saw in my dogs X-rays- he needed his hip ground down to fit better in his socket- made his leg shorter but helped with his pain levels and range of motion. If the leg is that immobile I would worry about pain. How is the chin doing otherwise? Does it hop/ play?

The major hunch back is a concern. As well as the right rib cage. The rubs should be uniform on both sides, and you can see the right side is different.

yea, im waiting on a call from a second vet tomorrow to see his opinion as well. Got some opinions in other areas as well. So figured id see if anyone here has more to say. Considering one of the possible outcomes i wanted to get more thoughts.

not rly. He cant hop much at all. He favors that back right leg. His ledge to the second floor is about a 1-2 inch gap at best and some times has some issue with it. He gets though it well enough but you can still see it some. Anything more then that and he is not able to. He also lists to the right when walking/running.
