Cooing?

Yesterday I was playing with Button outside his cage when he started to sort of coo??

I was stood in the middle of the room with him and he was just sat in my arms sort of scurrying around being nosey and trying to groom my eyebrows, when I started to scratch under his chin and inbetween his ears, then he made this noise. It was really quiet and sounded, happy... is it a happy noise?

He makes the chatter noise all the time when he wants some attention, and this was like a really soft calm chatter it reminded me of a cat purring.

Does anyone else get this?

It might be the 'contact' sound. It's a soft chirp-like sound they make when content and being social with another chin (or you).

I have had a couple of chins who "purred". It is very similar to a cat's pur and means they are happy.

Awe he sounds so cute ! I have always wanted my chins to purr but, for now all i get is those cute liitle oh yea thats the stuff face with tilted head but hey, ill take it =p
