? coffee cans ?

Ok I have been doing some thinking (which may be dangerous). I save all my metal coffee cans, and today i thought maybe I could use a coffee can instead of the pvc pipe. If I make sure the sides are smooth and I cover it with a fleece liner and then secure it to the cage. That should work right! Then i wouldn't have to worry about her chewing the pvc. What do you all think. Any ideas about possible dangers. I use the big coffee cans:hmm:

I use the cans all the time when doing into's for my colony cages. I put two or three in with the new colony to give them a hiding place should one of the chins in the new colony become overly aggressive.

I use large coffee cans covered in fleece for my chins to hide in. Their favorite place!
