Coconuts?!

So the local pet store has these huge hollowed out coconut shells with a hole carved in the middle...they're meant as birds nests, but I thought Rosey might like one to hide in. They're easily big enough for a chin. So my question is, are coconut shells safe for chins to chew on? Thanks!

Yes, I know some members use coconut for toys and such. Im not sure what the preparation is to make it safe, maybe someone else can be of more help.

I've been wondering about this too. Do your chins like to chew on them or do they just use them as something else to climb?

Ive used them as feeders a few times and the chins have chewed on them as well, but mostly they use them to sit in or use as treat dishes. Ive had one use it as a potty dish too.
