Well, I personnally would wait till he is at least 9 months to a year before giving him a wheel. He is still a growing baby and needs all his nutriets to go towards a good growth.

When you do put the wheel in, be patient. Sometimes it takes them a while to figure it out and sometimes they just don't care fore it. Time will tell, actually a customer of mine's girl took over 3 months for her to get on it and now is enjoying it fully.

It is usually recommended that you not give a wheel until 6 months old or later. There is a lot of growing going on and a wheel is a waste of calories.

What kind of wheel do you have? Is it chin safe (actually chin safe, not petstore safe).

It just depends on the chin. I have a bunch of different kinds of cages and only one has a wheel and I rotate chins to different cages when I clean. Some get on it instantly and others could care less.
