Hey there,
We recently moved apartments (on Tuesday) and our chinchilla Winky-Pinky had stopped eating as much about 2 days before.. We figured it was because she heard a lot of noise and us packing up and clearing out rooms and such.
She completely stopped eating Wednesday night, but was still pretty active and would take hay from us. On Friday, we took her to the vet as she stopped eating and drinking completely.
We got her Saturday (yesterday) after the vet said she had significantly improved - she had some gas in her stomach and was being handfed critical care. At this point, she was still pretty active and running around.
She's taking all her medication (5 different syringes) all wonderfully, but she struggles with the Critical Care, and there still isn't any poop in her cage from yesterday (she's on a gas medication and a probiotic). She hasn't had any water - minus whatever is in the Critical Care.
She started loosing a lot of fur today, as I was petting her, clumps of it was coming out, and she just sits in one spot all day and doesn't move. So her activity level has significantly dropped as well.
Is she getting worse? Or is it just her being sick that's causing this? I'm extremely concerned. Any advice?
