So every time Mayah ( my chinnie) goes to sleep she either has a dream or a nightmare. In her dreams she twitches and acts like she is running and doing happy squeaks. But recently she has had a couple nightmares, moving a lot and she has been barking in her sleep. The barks are very loud kinda high pitched at times. I go over there to wake her up and just massage her to try and make her feel better. Has anyone had this problem before?? Should I be worried? I want her to be able to sleep in peace, I dont know what could be triggering her nightmares I have never ever treated her badly since she has been here, and as far as I know she hasnt had any traumatizing experiences. Please help!!

I had this happen to me quite a bit. I wouldn't worry about it honestly. It's just something that happens.
If I caught my babies having a nightmare, I would just wake them up and they'd go back to sleep after. In most case, they'd be fine after going back to sleep c:

I had one who had nightmares all the time, when he first started having them I thought he was having a seizure! Now one I have chews in his sleep, that I can understand.

Yup it is pretty normal. One of mine constantly did the warning call in his sleep. I learned to just ignore it.

Carl tends to do a really high pitched screech at night andi even think when he does it, he scares himself and runs around his cage because I tend to hear him jump onto another level right after he does it. I usually roll over and say "it's okay Carl" and he calms down. It makes me wonder what causes him to make that noise though. Like what is he thinking about?
