Chinchilla Eye Problem

Hi, So my male chinchilla only has one eye, the other one is just eyelid I'm guessing. It should be completely healed by now because he lost his eye when he was a baby and he is now a year and a half. I recently posted that he got sticky gray stuff on his eyelid (where he doesn't have an eye). Well I just saw today and his eye is just bad, theres sticky gray stuff stuck to the fur around his lid, and upon closer inspection I saw for the first time where the closed lid meets and there is a white puss like discharge from there that I also noticed yesterday. Besides that he seems fine he eats, drinks, jumps around, plays with his toys, tries to climb on my hand to leave his cage, etc. I've only had him for a week though so I don't know what to do.

He needs to go to the vet. If there is pus, there is an infection and that can't be treated at home without the help of a vet.

Chin needs a vet ASAP, don't mess with head infections, it can go very wrong very fast.
