i have two chins i researched for 6months befor i got them most people said news paper was fine to use as bedding but the my female started eating it so i looked more and removed it is it safe everyone has a different opinions and i dont want to hurt my babys

News paper is not very safe, especially if she eats it.
There is ink in the paper, and paper itself has no nutritional value for the chin--and plus, paper expands when wet, which could potentially cause blockage.

The best option is polar fleece (the kind that doesn't pil) or Aspen wood Shavings.
Kiln Dried Pine shavings are a safe option as well, but never buy Cedar!

I swapped my chinchillas over to aspen and they love it! I have also used care fresh, but my chinchillas don't eat their bedding.

Use only aspen shavings, kiln-dried pine shavings, or fleece for bedding.

Newspaper is not a good idea. Eating paper or cardboard can cause blockages in a chin's gut.

Aspen shavings or anti-pill / polar fleece for sure!

No papery products or in my opinion no care fresh either in case they decide to munch on it.
