I just moved back to my parents house, the chinchillas get their own room here, but the door to the room was left open against my knowledge and the cat marked his territory in the room.

What's the best way to clean it up?

I can't remember the name of the disease that cat's carry, but should I be worried about that?

Oxyclean make a good carpet cleaner for pets (odorless). Not a lot of places sell the odorless ones, so you'll have to look around. Just make sure there is no breeze in the room when you spray, also make sure you spray close to the carpet to prevent little drip to the chin.

I've heard of people using white vinegar to neutralize pet odor too.
