I spent Christmas Day at the emergency vet with my 2 year old male, Duffus. We went there thinking we had a case of stasis but it turned out to be three stones lodged in his urethra. They were able to wash the stones back into the bladder and have a catheter inserted to keep them there. Surgery will be on Monday.
I would appreciate any information I can get about his post-op care. I will have a cage set up for him with no shelves and lots of fleece. I would like to know what to expect during his recovery and any possible things to watch for should there be complications. This is my first experience with a surgical chin.
