It's economical and controls odor very well. Others use fleece liners, which I won't use, because it's just too much hassle with this many chins and it doesn't control odor at all. Aspen is good, which you've already used. Carefresh ultra is good, but very spendy. The gray variety has been known to give rats mites, and I would never recommend it for chins.
