beautiful wild swans!

I know they're not pets, but I couldnt resist sharing these pics of a family of black swans. I took them last summer, when I was heavily pregnant....the swans swam gracefully, whilst I waddled along the lakeside!!

Black swans are soo beautiful. I remember the first time I saw one was when I was visiting my mother in- law in Dawlish, England. Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the pics

I've never seen black swans before. We get the Trumpeter Swans in my area during the winter months. What beautiful swans the black ones are, and the babies are so cute! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful creatures! I don't think I've ever seen black ones in person either. Their beaks are a very startling color of red and white.

There are dozens of black swans at the park where we were that day. I'd brought a loaf of wholegrain bread for the pigeons and ducks, but I got completely mobbed by black swans and geese....the poor duckies didn't get so much as a crumb!

I also fed this guy...he's a Pukeko, a native NZ bird. He held the bread in one of his huge feet, whilst he nibbled it delicately. So cute!
