anyone know if this is safe

i want to color their shelves with stencils so food coloring and kool aid isn't working well, its too thin,

anyone know if the kids finger paints and non-toxic paints are safe to use?

I wouldn't use them just to be safe. You could try the gel food coloring in the cake section at walmart.

You could also use the Koolade powder - not the kind with the sugar, and just mix it with a little bit of water so it is thicker, to the consistency you want.

Beet juice boiled down makes a nice red/purple color, but it takes a while to boil it down, so you'd have to pay attention ...

Be careful not to accidently cause your chin's fur to be stained by whatever you use to color the shelves.
