Hi, I live in troy and there are two vets.
I usually go to Albany County Vet across from Styvasant Plaza and I see Dr. P {thats what she goes by}, very good vet, very caring, she will stay with you and answer all your questions. 456-6333 [tell Dr. P. Jean sent you] As a matter of fact i just went yesterday because I got another ferret..ANyways, there is also a Dr. Jarvis in that office too, I only used her once. I personally just care for Dr P better.
Then there is one at exit 15 which are actually exoctic specialist, Upstate ANimal Medical Center, 583-0609, they are very good, but just to warn you the vet is very quick with you and isn't that great at staying the room and answering all your questions. But very good vet, they see mostly exoctics.
ANyways, I don't know if Albany County Vets are exoctic specialists but they have aways been very good and on the ball everytime i went with my chins, and i had alot of problems this year.
When i was first looking for a vet in our area, I literally went threw the phone book and called every vet and asked about their experience with chins and Albany County Vet was the only one around here that has the experience. Other than Upstate, but they are a 45 minutes drive for me, in upper Burgh.
If you want to call me and ask me about both vets in more details, my number is 238-2535 and my name is Jean.
