    my sister left a stuff animal on my chinchillas cage and overnight, he bit part of the felt off, he didn't eat any of the stuffing inside. this morning, i found some of the felt and he is eating and drinking fine. his urination patterns and poo all look fine too. should i bring him to the vet?

    i agree with the posts above, it's super rare because their fur is so thick that even fleas will sufficate, however, i wouldn't be too worried, chinchilla problems are mostly their teeth or fungus

    My cage is in the basement where the washer and dryer is. during the wash cycle, i cover the cage with a thin blanket and close the closet doors to the machines to minimize the smell and noise. while that can be prevented, the smell still lingers, sometimes because we hang are clothes there...

    Newly rescued chin - worried about past nutritional problems

    it depends on what type of rabbit food, there are a lot of posts on this site discussing rabbit food. I would just gradually switch back to chinchilla food to be on the safe side, you don't know what brand the previous owner's been feeding him. :) goodluck!
