    Breeding Collar Problems

Hey everyone, I have a question. My chinchillas keep removing their breeding collars. Three of my five female breeders can remove their collars. I can't get them to stay on my chins. Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to keep the collars on them? Thank you. :)

I was simply sharing MY opinion just like you, my opinion was that her dwarfs are great quality and that she shouldn't be put down for breeding dwarves.

What is a beige viophire mix? Is it a beige, sapphire, and violet chin?

    "Dwarf" Chinchillas

I have to agree with RDZC Ranch, the dwarfs Summer breeds are not poor quality, and she should not be put down for breeding dwarfs Dawn, she is very focused on improving this gene and has bred some very great quality dwarfs.

    Hope This Doesn't Sound Crazy....(URI)

When I had a cold once, mainly effected my throat, and I had just had my first litter of kits ever. So just to be careful I put on a face mask and pretty much washed my hands until they cracked and dryed out, but my chinies are doing great! The kits are doing great (almost 6 weeks now)! So it is...

    too young?

You should probably get the other one to the vet. Breathing hard can mean respiratory problems such as URI. Definietly try and make an appointment with a vet if you can.

new chinchilla! Putting the two together question

That happened with the two chins I had bought for breeding (two females) that had not been fully bonded. I tried putting them in the same cage and one kept running around trying to spray the other (no injuries). So I put the dominant girl in a much smaller cage for the night right by the other...
