    PRCS in Syracuse NY?

So far I've tried Tractor Supply, a local feed store and a chain called Country Max. Neither of them had any, but online it shows the Oneida TSC has the PRCS. Unfortunately thats like an hour drive away. I was hoping there was something closer. I will try and find an Agway if there is one...

    PRCS in Syracuse NY?

Does anyone know any stores in Syracuse NY (within a 30 mile radius or so) that carry the purina rabbit chow show pellets? I've called around 5 stores that I can think of, and they don't carry it, or seem to want to order it. My chins have done great on that for years, and now that I've moved I...

    Long Move and Chinchillas?

I'm moving in a couple weeks. I've driven them around before, but in a larger cage. I just want to know if that smaller one would be ok, since it can sit in the front seat next to me, so I can monitor them. The bigger cage I have would be in the back of my SUV, and I wouldnt be able to see.

    Long Move and Chinchillas?

I've got to make a long move that will take me 2-3 days of driving. I've got a cage that is about 3ft long by 1.5ft wide by 1.5ft tall. That worked well last time when I was traveling with 1 chin. Now that I have 2, I'm wondering if it would be safe to put both in that same cage. They are...

    Do My Portraits Suck?!

Wow..."schweet!" The PB&J one made me giggle. I'm gonna think of that everytime I make a sammich now. You're super talented! PS...I can totally relate to trying the Ctrl Z thing in real life. LMAO

    Do My Portraits Suck?!

Ok, whew. I was just worried that people thought I meant you were some kind of hack photoshopper that comes with abusing that software. (a lot of people associate "Photoshop" very negatively for some reason.) Personally I love digital art. It gives you such freedom, and is loads less messy...

    Do My Portraits Suck?!

I didnt mean any disrespect when I said "photoshop artist." In one of the previous posts Gabby88 said that she used the software. There are a lot of wonderful artists that spend 100% of their time creating their art entirely in digital media. I just wasnt aware that Gabby88 started on paper...

    Do My Portraits Suck?!

I think your portraits are very nice. I like the way you take the photos of chins and then use the smudge tool to smooth out the texture of the fur and then airbrush in some color in various places. I think you are well on your way to becoming a great photoshop artist! I cannot wait to see...

    Jeopardy Chinchilla

I dont know if anyone was watching Jeopardy last night, but one of the contestants had a really funny answer about a chinchilla. Just a warning, this should be given a PG13 rating or something. lol Jeopardy. Boy was that guy embarrased. Keep in mind that the beginning of the answer should be...

    What a creep!

He kinda looks like Gru from Despicable Me. With his ears back, he almost looks bald and hunched over just like Gru! He's just a big softie though;)

    Time for separation?

To make a long story short, I've had my two females bonded since september (about 4 months now). I thought the introduction went well and there really havent been any fights (that I have seen) between the two. My newer chin Cookie seems to be very dominant even though she is younger than her...

    Please help!!!

I dont think Vanilla essential oil is a good idea. What 3csmommy meant was a dab of vanilla extract, like the kind you would use in baking. It's non-toxic and chin safe. I would put a drop or two on a paper towel and then gently dab the vanilla extract on the base of the tail. But all of the...

    Constructive Cage comments

I change mine every other day, or every third day depending on the mess. I think the trick is to change it before it starts to smell, because if human noses can smell the odor, it must be really strong to chins.

    Constructive Cage comments

Thanks for all the comments everyone! I guess no real hazards were spotted, so i'm really happy about that. I'll have to buy them some more hanging toys. There are a couple attached to the doors, but its probably hard to see, and they could definetly use some more. As far as the chin...
