    cats and chins playing together

Actually rabbits shouldn't play or share cage with guinea pigs. They are carriers for a disease that can be fatal to guinea pigs. I would say mice and rats might work together. :)

    2013 Michigan MCBA Show Jan 26th, 2013

I wish I could go. I'm thinking next year I will at least go to watch, by then our youngest will be old enough.

    Best bedding in cage

I just wanted to let you know you aren't suppose to use carefresh bedding with Chins since it can cause impaction if chin eats it. On here I have seen people use dry-kiln aspen as well as fleece liners. I will let more experienced owners touch on other specifics.

Taking Advice From Someone With Zero Chins

It's interesting to see the poll. Most do seem to feel it depends on the answer and/or person. I do agree with those who are sayig people with zero personal experience shouldn't give advice on medical situations.

Taking Advice From Someone With Zero Chins

Riven: I am always amazed at how little vets know about small animals even "exotic" ones. We had a pet rat while back with a lump took us weeks and a few hundred dollars to find a vet who actually was willing to do more then a feeling with hands exam. Funny thing is she was not an exotic vet...

Taking Advice From Someone With Zero Chins

True, but I don't really care if people know or not. I was just curious what others think. I would also rather be upfront about it.

Taking Advice From Someone With Zero Chins

Yeah I will eventually. Paying off student loans and saving up first. I have done enough research on Chins that I know I don't want to ever breed. :P I wouldn't take advice from someone who acted like a know-it-all, always 100% right either. I agree the way the answer is said does make a...

Taking Advice From Someone With Zero Chins

Basically what the title reads would you take advice from someone about chinchillas who has zero chins? To be specific it would be advice you asked from a group of people, like on here. I'm just curious as I do not own any chinchillas yet, but have done a ton of research. I'm wondering if I...

    noises and wheels

Is this a plastic or wire wheel? Also agree with what cuddlebug said about the size. There are chin safe wheels such as chin spin, get the 15 inch size. There is the saucer too if you have the room for it in your cage.

how much food should chins eat?

I've always read and hard to feed chins freely.

    gus in a daze

Is he eating, drinking, and pooping normally? I've seen chins stare off sometimes, usually fixated on something or sleeping with eyes open.

Awe, now that I would love to see someday hehe.

When is the right time to try handle my chinchilla?

I would just go by them. Chins are individuals and some may take longer then others. Also some chins don't like to be held ever but will climb on humans and be transferred via a bowl or something for play time. Are you planning on breeding these chins? If you aren't a male and female will...

    Baby surprise!

I wasn't implying you don't know hot to care for your chins simply giving you information. Most people who have surprise kits know very Little about how to take care of the kits and/or mother after birth. Most of those cases usually involve getting two "females" at a pet store only to find out...
