I agree.. I order my pellets from a local breeder and even including shipping, the price is better than any pellets you could buy in stores. The quality of the pellets themselves are very good too. My chins have grown so much from eating them and have super healthy droppings.

I have 2 males and I honestly don't see much humping behaviour from them at all. I have seen them try to hump each other for dominance during the first year that I had them, but they really don't seem to do that anymore... perhaps because they're mature now? They have never tried to hump any...

If there are any local chin breeders near you, see if they sell any pellets. Many chin breeders do carry good quality pellets that you wouldn't be able to buy from stores. I get my pellets shipped from a local breeder and they are apparently milled in another part of the province. The prices are...

It is a Japanese dollar store that sells all sorts of stuff. Do you have any other Japanese shops there? I think the carbon deodorizers are pretty popular among Japanese people so any place that sells Japanese home items should have them.

I put a box of carbon beside my chins' cage and it works really well for absorbing smelly odours. :) I just toss it out after 5-6 months when it stops being effective and buy a new one for $2. If you have a Daiso where you live, they sell them there. I'm not sure where else you could get them...

That is interesting to know. Glad I'm not the only one with this problem, haha. For some reason, I never thought of interacting with them individually *facepalm*. They are almost ALWAYS together, even during playtime so no wonder they would prefer each other. I guess I will try taking them out...

I got two chins about a few months ago. They are both males, and were already bonded with each other when I got them (that is kind of why I got both; I originally intended on getting one). Now, it's great and all that they're good buddies with each other, but they don't seem to care for bonding...
