So Pachuco is almost fully recovered from his toe injury. Dr. Fitzgerald gave him the OK last week but wanted us to keep him in the small cage without any play times for another 2 weeks until we are sure its healed.

It's a pain, and it's no fun to watch the mean looks he gives us or how he just nibbles at the cage to try and get out, but better safe than sorry. On a side note the foot is looking almost normal!! Exciting!

My question is now that Pachuco isn't running around, he seems to be putting down the hay, Mazuri, and water and thus making a nice patch of fertilizer too. I know not eating is the big problem but should I be worried about him eating too much?

Thanks!

congratulations on the speedy recovery, I wouldn't worry about him eating too much either, eating means he's feeling good and ready to go.
