I would like to know if this is ok to give the chins? It is a new treat coming out for herbivores. It looks like "hay cheerios". Thanks!

I saw an adverstisement from Oxbow in a pet catalog. So I called oxbow about them. They said they were to be available in about a month in the stores. Because I work in a vet hosp I could order them direct from them. So I did, if the chins can't have them I'm giving them to a friend for her rabbits.

Yes Sandi thats the stuff! I'm thinking its fine to use, but I wanted to make sure first. :)

I think this is it, its on Oxbow's website as "Coming Soon".

***COMING SOON!!!***

Sorry, meant to edit my post and add more info but was too late. Anyway, they (oxbow) list this item under a few small animals including chinchillas, but I'm not sure about all of the ingredients in there would be ok for a chin, maybe someone else here would know?

Being that it comes from oxbow, I would think it would be ok, just like any other treat, in extreme moderation as a lot would argue that treats are uneccessary. But this one seems like it is nutritionally beneficial...? Still hoping somebody who knows more can help you out...

Gosh they're way too big for a chin, about the size of a quarter. I split them in two or three.
