introducing chinchilla's

I have/had 3 pairs of chinchilla's. 2 of the pairs have been together for 15-16 years. My youngest pair has been together for about 5 years and recently the male died. The female seems so sad now. Could I house her with one of the other pairs?

I don't think I would try it. Pairs that have been together for that long can be very territorial, especially if it is male/female pairs (and definitely no for a male/male pair).
