How many chins can live together in one cage?

Is a pairing the best or can you put multiples together?

I have a cage with 12 right now, not breeding but 12 girls, the most in breeding have done in a colony cage is 5. 4 females and 1 male

I love my colonies but that is dependant on each person

It is not recomended to add a female to an alread established pair or group. I have done it and it is harder. It is much easier to break them all up for a bit and reintroduce them fresh.

But just to clarify on the last question, thats even if the female is being introduced to two other females? I can definetly see how Splitting them all up for a while and reintroducing them would make it easier.
