Eye Problem

This isn't my chin, but he clearly has an eye problem. People talk about eye issues when a chin has malo. Is this what they look like? I'm guessing it could also be an eye infection or irritated eye.

The sad thing is that these chins are in breeding too. He claims they're healthy, but at least that one needs some attention.

A closer picture is needed to tell if its a infection or blockage of the lacrimal duct. Infections usually have red eye rims, inner lids and white discharge, lacrimal duct blockage has tears and/or white discharge, no red rims. Just what I have observed in my own chins.

Its hard to tell with pictures that far away, but it looks to me like they tried to Photoshop or Paint over the red eye.

this article describes the tear duct block in more medical type terms but after researching it a little, I found it interesting. I am sure Dawn has already posted this somewhere because she always finds the best articles! lol
