I just found a drop of blood in Dre's cage (on the shelf). It's fairly small and I checked her out and can't find the source. Should I be worried?

Did you check her feet? This time of year, feet can get dry and crack.

And are you sure it is blood and not some very dark urine?

Yes looked at her feet. And my first thought was that it was urine, but it's definitely blood. I cleaned her cage and found another small spot by her food dish. My second thought was that it was chinchilla period, but I don't think that happens? I'll just keep an eye on her for now I guess.

Most of the time it is feet. I wouldn't worry too much just watch for more, a tiny cut will close up and be hard to find, but appendages (feet, toes etc) bleed a lot for such a small part and can be alarming

You are correct in that chinchillas do not have a period like humans do. Some have a slight clear discharge during their cycle, but it does not look anything like blood.
