The chins say "ABOUT TIME MOM!"

Those are great! I have visions of getting a house made to look like a TARDIS (big Doctor Who fan) whoooosh whooosh whooosh! wonder if that would be possible......

    TRADITION Chinchilla Pellets

Sandi, I would like another 15lb box of Tradition. I am moving this weekend so I would prefer it if you could ship it later this weekend. PM me. Thanks!

    Chili the dancing chinchilla!

Omg Peanut does that same exact thing except she goes to all four corners of her cage and does it. At some points it almost looks like she is trying to do a back flip. Crazy chins! IM glad mine isnt the only weirdo haha And Peanut is perfectly normal otherwise also. I notice she does it when...

    Cagemates fighting, or just communicating?

I have a pair and I have 2 of everything. 2 bowls, 2 water bottles, 2 dust baths. Like the other have mentioned, they can turn on each other at any time and with my girls I noticed right away they didn't like sharing those things. They have a large wodden house they both share but everything...

    Cage Nightmare!!

I hear ya. Atlas is the same way. He destroyed his neat little birthday cage setup pretty much a few hours later. I've tried tile and binder clips and he still manages a way to pull up the fleece. He won't pull the tube covers if it's a PVC pipe. Everything else is fair game though. And he loves...

    Happy Birthday Atlas!

Atlas sends his thanks. I love frogs, I have like three or four fleece patterns with frogs on them. He's already made a huge mess of his cage like the messy boy he is, but it's his birthday, he can mess up his cage if he wants to.

    Happy Birthday Atlas!

Today Atlas turns a year old. I want to thank Alli for the gorgeous fleece stuff she made for me to celebrate this occasion. He got a piece of a chinnie cookie and lots of applewood, and as you can see in the picture of him in the tube he definitely enjoys his presents. I love you my little boy...

    Hamster care

Thanks so much for the advice guys! I'd love to post a pic except his little fur butt is all you'd see. Right now he's happily munching foor in his bowl but he won't show the camera his sweet little face. I'm glad I saved him too Jenn! Would've felt awful if he had become cat food.

    Hamster care

Hey guys, haven't posted on here in forever because I've been busy with a new job, but I have a question for those of you who have hamsters. I rescued one from a kid who was bored with it and wanted to feed it to the outside cats here (yeah, can you believe that?) Anyways, I named him Dexter...

    The Dreaded Chin Ban

I imposed the ban myself, although I'm sure my husband agrees. We have 2 cats, 6 chins, 2 goldfish and 2 betta fish and I think we're fine the way we are. Although in the future I would love to have a separate chin room, so we'll see how that goes.

    omg! omg!!!! yay!!!!!

Aww man bummer! I got my second FN 142 on CL for $75, just had to do a little elbow grease cleaning it but it's in great shape, and when I contacted the lady to make sure I could get it I was sooo paranoid that she'd end up selling to someone else or that it was too good to be true. I hope it...

    Question about twigs...

My guys all chew the bark off the twigs. The twiglets and skinnier twigs sometimes get pulverized. Ninja likes to snap those in half and throw them out of his cage. For the most part the thicker twigs all get their bark eaten off, then they get tossed aside and if I don't take them out of the...

    Reputable Breeder near Dallas, TX

I went to Claudia with Brightstar chins in Kiowa, Oklahoma, which is about 2 hours north of here. I didn't really know of any other reputable breeders in this area (I live in Dallas)

    Its been ugly here.

:( I'm so sorry Dawn. May Dante RIP and I hope Lu gets better. You've been through a lot in such a short amount of time, I know it's a lot to deal with. Just know you're in my thoughts. Your chinnies are very lucky to have you as their mommy and I hope eventually you can remember just the good...

    Meet Herman!

Congrats Laurie! He is absolutely adorable and very lucky to have you for his mommy :)

Hey! I don't bite you, so you don't bite me.

Ahahaha that face is priceless. So cute and sweet. I'm glad your tummy refused to press charges. I'm sure after all you went through with your little guys it's worth the occasional chomp to be able to have snuggle time with them again. And come on! Look at that face... he promises he will never...

    Pet insurance

I too looked it up for the chinnies, but like was mentioned it didn't really cover that much to be worth it. I do have some for my 2 cats, and that has actually helped out a bit, paying for Sasha's spay and their heartworm medications and Sherlock has dental issues so he gets pricey dentalwork...

    Help with e-collar

Yeah, Sasha is my cat. Stacie, I was going to call, but then of course she quit messing with it and went to sleep and frankly so did I. Not exactly feeling at my greatest today. She's been wearing it a while now, occasionally she will halfheartedly try to pull it off but I think she's accepted...
