    Digging dog

It's been one year since we adopted our dog from a rescue. We love him a lot and he is a loving, loyal member of the family. The past few weeks, I've been going nuts trying to cover up any hole or possible point of escape from the yard. Yesterday, I bought 100 feet of chicken wire to secure the...

Thinking about getting a chin for your child?

Give it a lot of thought before you do. My child begged me for a chin for a few years before I started doing research. Research does nothing to prepare you. It's not like a dog or cat. You can't let a chin out to potty. You can't get a chin a companion and be sure it will work out. You can't...

    Chin Spin delivered!

It is awesome. I thought those 12-inch plastic wheels from the pet stores were big, but this thing is HUGE! I'm amazed at how sturdy it is. I swear a piglet could run on that thing. Our baby chin (we named her Yumi) jumped in it a few times and has been sniffing and sitting under it since we...

    New baby chin

Lots of love to give and a chin addiction...had to call the breeder and see about getting another baby after we lost Myrna. She is such a nice lady. It's maddening so far. I am looking at every single movement worrying about every little difference in poops. She's a very timid, cuddly girl and...

Myrna went over the rainbrow bridge

She was found this morning. :( Thanks for all the suggestions and positive thoughts. I'm very sad over this and I don't blame them but I guess anger is a natural response anytime something like this happens.

Chin got out of cage and is lost

My daughter took Myrna with her to her dad's. I sent a cage with everything for her to keep her safe while there. Sometime last night the chin got out of her cage and they can't find her. I wish I could be there to help, but I can't. I've told her to start low and look up high. Look in drawers...

Baby chin bumbed her face hard

We just brought her home Sat., but she seems to be comfortable and we let her out to play. The chin (her name is Myrna) got nervous and wanted back in her cage, so she took a flying leap from my leg into the bars of her cage, hitting her face. She ran to a corner and started rubbing her head on...

Brought the new kit home today

She's a beautiful 3-month-old grey. I'm really glad we went to a breeder instead of a pet store. It was well worth the drive. She's got a beautiful coat, and is nice and healthy. I also got a 3-month supply of hay cubes, feed, supplement, and dust for $15, which is a bargain, I think. I can see...

Picking up a chin this weekend

Finally found a breeder near enough to drive to. The FF cage arrived today and it went together with lots of laughs. Put this part on, take this part off, etc. Great cage, though. I went to the big box store and got 4 ceramic tiles to use as coolers, but want to replace all the plastic and wire...

    Hi from GA

We're not chin owners yet, but looking hard for one in our area. I ordered the feisty ferret cage a few days ago. Thought it would be a great size for a chin and not too big for my teenage daughter's room. Can't wait to get it homey for a safe for a chin. Hope to find a chin for it soon!
