    Stopping by to say "hi"

Ooops! Any mods who see this, can you move it to the "chit chat" forum. I put this post in the wrong one. :(

    Stopping by to say "hi"

Hi everyone! Long time no see. I kinda disappeared off the face of the earth (well, these boards) for a while, but it's for a good reason. I got engaged!!! So, I've been completely immersed in wedding planning. We're getting married this October. :D But don't worry, Mochi is a very happy chin...

    Keeping chin cold idea

An alternative would be to do like Newt says and get ceramic/marble floor tiles at Lowes or Home Depot. Much more cost effective than the chinchillers that are sold at pet stores.

    Beiges and Some Other Babies

I think aydree is referring to the 1st pic in the 2nd post. It's actually 2 chin babies, but I can see how it would look deformed if you thought it was one chin baby.

    Cardboard and cardboard playhouses!

So these are a little large, but Woot! has children's cardboard playsets on sale for $9.99 today (feb 5) only. You choose from either a castle, safari set, or t-rex. They come uncolored. Medieval Castle stands over 3 feet tall when assembled, and includes bonus cutouts of a king's crown, a...

    Making dolls/craft projects

Wow, those are really nice! I really like the first one's hair with all of the different colors. I knit. Here are some blog posts about knitting. And for those of you who would just rather have pictures, here are some non-clothing knit items I have made. And sharing these hats cause...

She totally does look like a cottonball!

    Potty Training with Fleece

Mochi also doesn't poop in her bedding. But, she never really goes down there except when she has to pee. I bet your chin's the same. He prefers to stay on his ledges, so that's where you find his poop.

    Hair Rings?

A hair ring is literally a ring of hair around the penis. Here's an image of what I assume is a bad one. I have a girl chin, so I'm not entirely sure if this is normal or bad, but that looks like a lot of hair to me. Yes, males will hump. They will also often "pleasure themselves" when the...

What to use for hanging wood chew toys

Sisal rope is safe to use, but make sure you're using one that's untreated. Don't get it from hardware stores. They apparently smell a bit like gasoline (I think...) because of the treatment they get. I found this site that sells some for bird toys. I have no clue if this is a good price for it...

    Hedgie Video

So I don't know how safe it is to have a kitten and hedgehog together, but they're both incredibly cute. Video Link

Miss Kay's Ready For Her Close Up!

    Chinchilla Taxidermy (??)

I forgot to mention, that I have thought about what happens when Mochi dies. Hopefully by then I will own my own home. If that pans out, then I plan on using her ashes to fertilize the apple tree that will be in my back yard since she loves apple sticks so much. :cute:

    Chinchilla Taxidermy (??)

I actually watched a video on the possibility of taxidermy-ing (new word!) your own corpse once you pass away about a month ago... Anyway, the briefly touched on pets. Most taxidermists do not like to taxidermy pets because they have a generic "skeleton" they use to taxidermy an animal. So even...

    New here, Hello!

Hello! Is she escaping through the the bars of her cage, or is she escaping when you open the doors to feed her? Here's a list of chin safe woods. There are a lot of woods that are bad (poisonous) for chinchillas. A general (but not always true) rule of thumb is that if it's safe for a bird...

    Happy birthday!

    Critique please! Wire mesh

Oh, you might want to drill some holes in the hay container. Hay needs to breath so it doesn't get moldy. I either keep mine in the bag it comes in or in a cardboard box. I don't remember who suggested the cardboard box, but I find it very convenient.
