We are feeding timothy hay and I don't recall the brand of the pellets...and I didn't mean to sound that she's withholding food...he gets plenty to eat...she's just trying to make sure he's not overeating and she's not feeding him treats (except on rare occassions).

My daughter's chin is a big boy..he has a wheel but it's a 15" wire mesh wheel that he mostly just sits in..because he's kinda chunky so it sags when he's on it since it only has a center connection screw to mount to the cage. He doesn't get a lot of treats and junk...mostly just pellets and hay...

Saw someone had a female chin for sale. It was in a very small cage and the only supplies she had for it were a food bowl and water bowl and a small bag of food. After messaging the owner back and forth learned that she didn't regularly get hay, had no dust bath, no toys, no wheel but she did...

LOL...I was thinking the same thing through the first few posts...then it finally dawned on me they were referring to a shelter. I guess when you have teenagers HS automatically brings high school to the brain. LOL! Hope all works out for the chins at the shelter! :)
