    Critter Nation Design Options

I have a double side by side cage for my chins. Doing a three high cage wasn't an option for me due to the short ceilings in my basement. They seem to enjoy bounding across the width of the cage and I like that I don't have to worry about them falling from a third level. Downsides are that you...

    Chinchilla Toys From Etsy?

Hi, Has anyone every heard of or purchased chinchilla toys from this etsy shop? https://www.etsy.com/shop/MagicalChinchilla Most of the things seem chin appropriate, however in a couple of the descriptions it mentions birch wood as part of the toy, which I though was bad for chinchillas. Thanks!

Bass Pans - Regular or Stainless Steel

Thanks everyone! Mine aren't litter trained (they never figured it out) so maybe I will pay the extra money for the stainless steel ones.

    The Ferret Nation Club

Quadruple Ferret Nation Cage! Hey Everyone, Here is a picture of the cage setup I have for my three chin boys (Alvin, Simon, and Theodore) that I adopted in May 2014. I connected two double ferret nations cages together for them. Since I took these pictures I've also added a wheel and will be...

Bass Pans - Regular or Stainless Steel

Hey Everyone, I'm looking to get some bass pans for my ferret nation cage and I saw that they have two options, regular (galvanized steel) and stainless steel. I know the differences between the two, but what are your opinions on which to get? Do the chinchillas really need the stainless steel...

Moving overseas unsure what to do with my babies

There is a chinchilla rescue located just into Kentucky. I know it is a little bit of a drive from Cleveland, but it might be worth looking into. I adopted my three boys from there. Here is the website: http://chinsnfriends.wix.com/home

    Columbus, Ohio Vet?

Does anyone know of a good chin vet in or close to Columbus, Ohio? My chins are all currently healthy, but would like to know of one in case something would happen. Thanks!

    Chins not using wheel

Thanks everyone. It is securely attached to the cage. Guess I will look into getting a different wheel.

    Chins not using wheel

So I bought one of the large flying saucers for my chins to use, but it has now been about 2 months and they still haven't used it (that I've seen). When I first put it in they were curious and would hop onto it, but then it would move and that seemed to scare them and they would hop off and run...

    The Ferret Nation Club

So has anyone on here ever tried to put two ferret nations next to each other and connect them (like take off the sides so they have a double wide cage)? I know chins prefer height over width, but I can't fit the third tier expansion cage on top of the one I have because my ceilings are too low...

I use the Lixit Glass water bottle and it is great! Doesn't leak at all. Hope you find something that works! Elizabeth

    Litter training chins - HELP!

Thanks! So if I have them on fleece right now I should just put down shavings over top of the fleece in order to get the dirty shavings to put in the pan?

    Litter training chins - HELP!

Hey Everyone, I have 3 male chinchillas that are about 12 weeks old now. I have been trying to litter train them in a glass dish with kiln-dried pine bedding, but they always just try to bathe in it and knock all of it out. Does anyone have any suggestions on preventing this? Thanks!!
