It is more a case I think that UK breeders tend not to publicly post photos and show off.
Pretty much every mutation breeder I have met goes back to standard, they don't tend to breed mutation to mutation.
To say we don't breed for quality is a bit harsh. Make a trip over to the National Show...
If its really bad, He'll prolapse and swell up. When mine used to get blobs stuck they used to sit up excessively, and they looked uncomfy. He might also keep trying to clean himself.
Personally I believe that it depends very much on the Chin, the type and the stage of the Malo.
I have had 3 malo chins, 2 I have now. All have had root elongation. The first one I had was pts after 3 months. I let him go when he became depressed and lethargic; we upper his pain killers and he...
Its quite common for people in the UK to use these and I've never heard of anyone having issues. We do use fleece covers. Hammock Hammock in the UK make covers and they also fit snugglesafe heat pads so one cover fits both :-)
They stay cold for quite a while.
I know this is a little late but I use Manor vets Edgbaston which is their exotic vet center. I called them one weekday with a chin who had stopped eating - They saw him within half an hour. The main exotic vet is Marie but Toby is good and I've been told Struan is back - he's very experienced...
I have two Malo chins. Both have been fed on Beaphar Care + all their lives. Both have fairly good teeth in their mouth (one developed a spur but the other has perfect teeth). Both have Root elongation (upper and lower).
I wouldn't have teeth extracted, its not worth it.
One is fine right now...
I've owned 6 chins of those -
3 have been diagnosed with root elongation, 1 died aged 2 from unknown causes (post mortem showed slight bladder irritation and pasturella in the the lungs), other was a stress fur chewer (to be fair to his breeder he was given to me as a not for breeding chin)...
I think my ideal number is 4. Its what I promised my fiance I would never go over, I did have four - a pair and two singles and enjoyed them all. The pair aren't so bothered but my singles were quite demanding attention wise.
My one single died last year from stasis, he had URI and broke a...
Some times its not a choice all pet owners will be given. I go to two vets, a local chin experienced vet (who are much cheaper) for minor issues and for dental issues I go see a specialist (much dearer and further away).
Both vets initially refused injectable as an option. When treating a bad...
I found this vet on a recommended List in sheffield -

Have you tried no washing your hands and using sanitizer straight before handling? I'm wondering if its the smell of those that she is reacting too?
Certainly not a behaviour I've heard of at all. You can then wash and santize after.
Where are you based? I can have a look on the UK forums and see if I can find a recommended vet local to you.
Pets at home sell some suitable plastic ones or a cat carrier will do.
