I would love to see a picture of your setup. We have four chins that get out every night for 30 minutes and have for years. They have done alot of damage and I am looking into other options where they can still get out and play but are somewhat confined. Thank you.

If the temperature is too hot for our chins they flop on their sides like you described. Lower the temperature and see if that helps. We also had a chin once that picked fur and this was easily corrected by spending more with him and moving his cage closer to us. I hope this helps.
