Wow I guess I ain't a chinchilla owner since most of the things everyone said doesn't apply to me. When they escape in the middle of the night you find them jumping around your bed and get woken up by it.

I been using different brand but it doesn't seem like they have much interest in any of them at all. I give them hay everyday but they eat little bit and leave the rest. There is so much left that you don't even know if they ate any. Is that normal? Or does they just not like the brand?

Well different chinchilla has different personality. One of my chinchilla is fine with being held but my other one hates to be held. He does everything to run away from being held and when you hold him he does everything to escape.

My chinchillas is totally fine with all my pets. I have a dog, guinea pigs, hamsters, turtles and tortoise. They dont have any issue with each other and nothing has gone wrong. My dog would never harm any of my other pets but can be very jealous.

I personally think they seem to be drinking the same amount(I hear the ball clicking when they drink) but I can't tell since their water bottle leaks. But they been drinking the same amount since I got them. When I refill the water the amount is about the same.
