SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Friday, March 9th, 2012
Registration of animals and pelts....5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Deadline for turning in all registration paperwork is 10:30 p.m.
All entries must be caged or on pelt boards by 10:30 p.m. Friday
In the event of a delayed flight or emergency, notification must be made to the registration chairman BEFORE 10:30 p.m. in order to obtain an extension of this deadline.

Saturday, March 10th, 2012
Grooming.......................................................5 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Combined Pelt Show.........................................9 a.m. SHARP!
Lunch– There are several restaurants on Premise
Standard Live Animal Show...Immediately after Pelt Show

Sunday, March 11th, 2012
Grooming......................................................5 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
Mutation Live Animal Show.............................. 9 a.m. SHARP!
Lunch.........................................................Time to be announced --same as Saturday.

The National Show Banquet will be held at Whiskey Creek Restaurant right next to the hotel on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 7:00 PM. Attached is a Word document with the menu choices. Banquet tickets are $30 per plate.

Does anyone know approximately how far the airport is from the venue? I'm trying to book a return flight...

It's about 37 miles from the airport.

Heartland Branch will be providing shuttle service from the Kansa City Airport. They will probably post a contact as we get closer.

Last year I booked an evening flight because I didn't know when the show would finish and I didn't want to miss anything, or, have someone else miss anything. I didn't mind if I sat at the airport for a while. It worked out just fine, as I was on someone's way home.

How was everyone's experience at this hotel from previous years? It has some scary reviews, is it really that bad?

I found it to be a good place to stay and didn't hear any complaints from others.

I personally had no problems with the hotel. The only thing we received complaints on was the food which is why I am organizing the banquet at a neighboring restaurant instead.

She booked that most likely back in January. You're not going to find anything cheaper than $380-$400+ roundtrip from CA this late. If you're lucky, you can find one way for about $200+.

No room problems for us last year & we are booked again! Now the Shindig room in August in Auburn was a horror story...ugh!!
