Forced picking up vs waiting it out

Hee hee, we so need a picture of this! My bunny would toledo out of the carrier at the vet's office, but that was so she could bite anyone in a lab coat, sadly! They never believed me that she never bit anyone else!

    Show off your chinchilla!

Hey folks, I know I have not been around lately, for many reasons, mostly being life* getting in the way! We have not been getting many chinchilla nominations lately, they are far outnumbered by guinea pigs, bunnies and even snakes! We know you love your chines and they deserve to be famous...

Forced picking up vs waiting it out

I agree that, as long as you are careful, and gentle, picking him up every day or a little bit is the best way to get him used to being held. Not every chin will come to love it, but they can get used to it, and calm about it, given time. My rabbit (I know, not a chin, but smilier in some ways)...

    Poplar?

I bet your chinnies will love it! My Dad used to find and cut poplar branches for my bunny (miss them both), and he'd just set them on the porch to dry out in the sun for at least a week or so before bringing them to her. She had a grand time stripping the bark absolutely clean!

Help! I can't figure out what to name my chin!

Women in History Ada Lovelace - pioneering female programmer Clara - Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross Marie Curie Rosa for Rosa Parks Or wait until she is born and you see pictures - usually when I see the animal, it tells me its name!

    New baby girl

    A year old!

He's adorable! You should soooo nominate him for Pet of the Day! You should include his baby picture and his current one!

    Show off your chinchilla!

Hee hee - we are getting complaints on Twitter that we do not feature enough chinchillas - so definitely consider nominating yours today!

Aww, do you have any pictures of him?

    Meet Olaf and Sven!!!

Aww, so glad they are doing well, and that Olaf is doing better, anyway! It is odd, I see the images as "broken image icons" but am still able to click and see them. They are both adorable!

    Worst day of my life

Our sincerest condolences. I would speak to the vet, and also warn others in your community never to use that veterinarian for their chin chills. Males are so much less complicated to neuter than females, and what they must have done is awful. I am sure you will see your boy again some day at...
