Thanks for the recommendation...i actually got 2 of my chins from her...she unfortunately lives about 45min away from me

Can anyone recommend anyone in pittsburgh area that could watch my boys when i go out of town? Ive looked on a couple websites but wanted to see if someone had a better recommendation...thanks

I've tried "smooshing" and I've tried the cage in cage method...the smooshing worked the best for me and I've successfully gotten two of my males to live happily together...I've tried the other intro with another male and wasn't able to keep them all in the same cage..so I have them happily...

;)I was wondering if my chins are possibly eating too much...it seems probably every other day i am filling there bowl up...im gonna guess and say the bowl fits about a cup of food at a time...are they eating too much? also, its purina pro show that they are eating...thanks

I was able to buy a 25lb bag at tractor supply...try them...also, i have other feed stores around me that will order it so i would look into that as well...hope this helps

I have both the leo braun and the flying saucer...it seems the flying saucer gets more use then anything...but the leo is much quieter when they do use it

All of my boys came from craigslist postings...one was a breeder here in pittsburgh who was a ton of help, and still is...she referred me to chechinchillas in OH where i got another chin...i completely understand where craigslist goes wrong but there still are ALOT of good people out there and...

I was thinking of getting a play pen for my chins to play in...this my sound dumb but wont they climb/jump up the sides and get out?! also, what kind of play pen is recommended? thank you

i actually spoke tot he manager about how he could make the environment better for the two chins that they have there. i told him about dust bath brecause it looked like the chins have never had one, i also mention about putting some wood in there to help chewing...not sure if he completey...

i have a pet store near me here in pittsburgh that i was concerned about as well..it is aprivately owned store and i noticed that the two chins that they have are in a cage with no ledges and nothing to chew and since they are big on selling reptiles there, it is extremely hot!! Is there...

Since I tend to work long hrs I don't have time to take the boys out everyday so I read that a wheel would be good idea for them...would it still be recommended not to get a wheel?
