    Chin Fight

Once a pair fights, I don't advise putting them back together. Colonies can fight at any time for any reason

    What to do in summer?

I don't offer playtime at all. Keep in mind it's nice to offer but isn't necessary.

    Unexpected birth, worst case scenario

I would suggest checking the sexes yourself and separating the males from females if you haven't already

    No tail?

It often is due to a birthing injury. If a kit is born backwards the mother may pull them out by the tail, biting it off. Chins adjust great to missing tails, so i would not worry about it

    Old male with females?

I have had males that old that are still breeding their females. Unfortunately he should stay alone if he does not get along with males. You could always offer a cuddle buddy (stuffed animal)

    Protein Powder?

I'm going to try and say this nicely. 3 dentals in 3 months is hurting her, not helping. Teeth can not be fixed, and clearly they are not able to be maintained if her teeth need fine that often. Repeated aneth, medications and no doubt syringe feeding can affect how the chin absorbs their food...

    Fur Chewing

Fur chewing can also be genetic. It doesnt harm the chin in any way (no matter what the cause) so just love her the way she is

A little concerned with weight & fur slips

If the chin is over a yr old its unlikely he will/should gain weight. Adults can vary from 400-1,000+ grams and be healthy. I would remove all plastic and start from there.

Did they run a fecal? How do her poops look?

    Cause for concern?

Change in the amount of hay and treats/chews can affect the size and color. If the chin is eating and acting well, i wouldnt worry

    New chinchillas fur loss

The chinchilla is a fur chewer so nothing is 'wrong' with her fur. The mother may be smaller due to genetics or if her daughters are bullying her. Its always best to have food in 2 or 3 places in the cage to prevent this. The important thing is to weigh her and make sure she isnt loosing. Adult...
