I have a plastic one that looks like a house which I put on a towel for her bath. She sometimes digs at the dust so this helps maintain a relatively clean area. I then fold the towel up when done and shake out.

My vet says 1x a year is fine unless we see something that may indicate otherwise.

I believe my chin also prefers sounds. When I want her in the cage, I snap my fingers and say "in your cage." Usually, she listens and responds. When she is digging at her playpen (which is see-thru plastic) I say "no" and make a sound like "aaaaak" and she usually stops.

Perhaps you could get one of the ties (similar to what Ikea uses) and attach it to the wall.

Sounds like Chin Heaven... Your idea sounds wonderful. I would love to have a chin room where all I have to do is open the cage door and she would have her choice to things to do. I can't do that now as I live in a rental so I don't want things on the wall) and she won't let me hold her...

I recently seen a picture of a owner combing their chin. I have read that this is not necessary and I would like your opinions. If so, what type of brush/comb, should I buy? Thanks.

You are so lucky. Sunshine will sit on my lap, but never allows me to hold her. I can pet her until she feels she has had enough then off she goes. Maybe in time, I have only had her since late Feb.

What you may want to do is what I did for the bottom storage area of my cage. I went to Joann's and got a poster board, fleece remnants, and glued it together. It prevents her feet from the wire and was reasonably priced. The glue is on the bottom and isn't reachable for her to get to.

My nightly routine for my chin is right before I am going to sleep or playtime is over, I put either classical music or cartoons on for them. I was told by the lady that I rescued Sunshine from that she enjoys both so each night I change it up. I put on classical music but honestly can't say...

I just recently got my chin so I am no expert; however, when Sunshine does that, I assume she feels comfortable with me.

Thanks. You basically summed up what I was thinking. I let her out at night and she can roam around in her own little fenced in area. She definitely knows something outside of the pin (probably due to sugar glider smell) but so far hasn't tried to jump out. I always rely on your knowledge.
