I always just buy the basic water from the super market which is roughly 20p to be safe rather than sorry! Boiling a kettle, letting it cool and filtering it also seems like a efficient way also :)

Why not build one out of recycled safe cardboard ? that way its cheap, if they gnaw through it, it's replaceable and you can make it as big as you like and as inventive as you like!
