Scar looking line on my hedgie's forehead?

Thanks for the advice, sorry for not updating I sorta forgotsies a bit 😆 It seems to have cleared up, nothing's there at all now. So whatever it was, gone. She's still got some dandruff but with no itching which is odd. Maybe try another oatmeal bath or something this weekend... Thank you!

Scar looking line on my hedgie's forehead?

While giving our girl Natalia an oatmeal bath to try and clear up some dry skin, we noticed this purpley raised line on her exposed skin down her forehead. (You know, the line where their quills part) It doesn't seem to bother her I guess and I've no idea how long its been there, as I never...

Keeping a hedgie and a guinea pig near eachother?

Hey all! I wasnt quite sure where to put this to be honest, so move if need be. I've had a hedgie for quite awhile now, (an one before her) but I've run into a new thing. I have a friend that is looking for someone to foster or adopt her guinea pig. My girl is currently in a two level c&c...

    Food for young ones?

Might be a dumb question but I got my first hedgehog when he was basically an adult, and I recently got a younger girl Natalia. Should younger hedgehogs (like 8 weeks) have more or less protein/fat/fiber percentages or different food? I haven't heard anything about entirely different food...

    New baby girl

Hey all! It's been a long time since I was on here. My last hedgehog, Ppunk, died quite awhile ago at a ripe old age, but I didn't really have much of a reason to keep participating in hedgehog related internet groups. If anything, it made me very sad shortly after his death. The decision of...

    We love you Ppunk

I guess I joined not too long ago initially because I was curious of things to do for an older hedgehog. I knew his time was coming, perhaps in a year or in a few months, but he was over 5 years old and slowing down. Turns out I really enjoyed the community here and posting on forums every now...

    Hedgehog or Chinchilla?

Again I have never owned a chin XD My hedgehog pooped seemingly nonstop when I first got him. Literally, there was no controlling it. My mother was appalled at how much he pooped, and couldn't believe I could love an animal that not only wouldn't come out of his death ball but also pooped...

    Pet stores

I used to work for Petsmart, and while all Petsmarts operate differently, (it largely depends on the managers of the store, but who hires the managers?) I don't support the chain as a whole anymore. I desperately wish there was a store closer than an hour away that sold products for small...

Gerbils keep pushing up bedding and dumping out their water!

Akane, this is a fairly similar set up to mine, with the mix between the critternation plastic cages and larger bins for excessive bedding and playing XD although I think mine is a tad smaller, for two gerbils. (I thought about adding a friend, but by the time I adopted them from a classroom...

    Hedgehog or Chinchilla?

Hahah, just kidding. Mostly. (not really. i want them all.) I only have a hedgehog, and while I have played with Chinchillas and adore them, I have not owned one. I'm not sure I could pick and choose between the two anyway, they're both great in the own right. Hedgehogs have a tendency to be...

Anyone ever see what Petsmart thinks is suitable for hedgehogs?

My hedgehog used to be in a three level cage after I'd fixed it up a bit, although no one told me anything about fixing it up in any store when I was asking questions hahah I think that if a pet store is going to advertise products for a pet, they should advertise knowledge along with it. All...

Gerbils keep pushing up bedding and dumping out their water!

Well the gerbils DO have a place to dig and burrow, and use it regularly. It's about 2 feet deep, maybe a tad more. I'm aware this won't keep them from digging in the other sections of the set up, but I've bought an external bottle that sits up a bit higher, and positioned it around a tube so...

Gerbils keep pushing up bedding and dumping out their water!

Well the cages are longer than they are tall, the water bottles are pretty small but go down under the plastic part. I'm worried that if I take out any more bedding, they'll just be peeing and pooping on the plastic bottom :p

Anyone ever see what Petsmart thinks is suitable for hedgehogs?

I was just looking at random cages at Petsmart (actually to find a picture for another thread lol) and I noticed they had a category for cages for hedgehogs. Naturally I was surprised. These are all terrible for hedgies D=...

Gerbils keep pushing up bedding and dumping out their water!

Sooo I have two lovely gerbils. They are the kindest things in the world, love being petted and kissed XD They have two of these cages, along with a series of tubes and other little look out things, one tube leads into deep bin full of bedding where they can build their own tunnels and sleep...
