Poppy doesn't groom me, but she's a real mother-hen to my 6 year old son. He puts his head though the cage door and Poppy immediately starts to groom him. She'll spend ages making sure his hair is up to her standard of clean (She's my OCD chin) and she sits on his head to get to the bits she...
 too true. I'm having a few issues getting Poppy and Jasmine together -they're side by side in different cages and that's ok but when we get them out together there's a lot of tension.. possibly because Poppy can see that Jasmine is a messy critter and throws her hay around and the second...
I came downstairs this morning to see that Poppy had tidied up her cage. She put all her toys in her nest box, but there was no room left for her so she slept outside it! Chins crack me up
Back in february my little Jasmine was so poorly. I came here for advice as s
her weight dropped to 204g and she didn't eat anything. With the help of Claire D and other lovely members, I learned to handfeed, nursed her through a bout of bloat and gradually introduced pellets again.
I weighed...
My girls are on Science selective and they love it. Jasmine had a lot of health problems back in Jan/Feb and I tried to tempt her to eat with beaphar care + but she hated it! Fussy little thing. I like the science cos I can get it from the pet shop up the road rather than having to order it online.
I havent posted in ages, but everyone was so helpful when Jasmine was really poorly in February. I'm pleased to report she's in perfect health right now, and while is still small (and I mean REALLY small 300g!) I think that's just the way God made her, she enjoys a large appetite of science...
Yesterday and today Jasmine's ears have been rather scrunched up - not perky like they should be. She's eating, drinking, pooping as normal and is still excited to see me but in playtime tonight she played for a bit and then went to sleep on me. Not sure if that was because she's brewing...
:rolleyes2: Sneaky little critters. I've got a lid on my playpen - it only arrived today - and I'm so glad it has a lid because Jasmine climbed onto my shoulders and tried (but failed miserably) to jump out.
my Kit had a URI a few weeks back - I was told she was 16 weeks but there is no way she is that old - 12 weeks max. She weighed 213g at her poorliest and I was giving her about 40mls of CC a day. I used a 10ml syringe to give it to her but it was quite thick so I've acquired a 60ml catheter...
Ok I think I've worked out what snaps are - I think we call them poppers. I'll get some if my escape artists manage to master the bottom! I'll have to keep an eye on the mesh incase they chew it then ;) I got the XL one so I can comfortably fit inside it when they're playing, and Daddypig can...
Ha ha! Padded cell!! Love it- it sums our mad house up perfectly! The best bit is I can put the kids in there :tease: and I can zip it up in it's bag and shove it behind the sofa. I've seen some great pens and if space wasn't an issue I'd have bought a couple and linked them together. I think...
Thanks for the ideas ladies!
Claire - our house is open plan and our hallway leads straight into our kitchen, I tried blocking off the doorway but Poppy still escaped and had a field day running around the house! The bathroom is a possibility but one bathroom has a lot of hidey places and the...
My chin proof room is no longer chin proof and I'm frankly a little bit fed up of spending half my evening on my belly trying to coax the chins out from under the sofa! So I was wondering what your thoughts on this were...
